Privacy and cookie policy

This page explains what personal data feelathomehouse.com collects, why, who receives it, how long it is kept and what your rights are. We collect as little as we can: the site has no advertising, no social-media pixels and no analytics cookies.
Who is responsible
Prime Position, Lda. (NIF 516216368) runs the Feel At Home local accommodation apartments shown on this site and is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at info@feelathomehouse.com or +351 912 669 946.
What we collect and why
- Contact requests. When you ask us to call you back, we receive your name, e-mail address, phone number, optional message and the apartment you asked about, and our server records your IP address and country with the request. We use them only to answer you (legal basis: steps you asked for before a booking, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Messages you send us. If you use the WhatsApp or e-mail buttons, the message goes from your own app to us; the dates and number of guests you type in the "your stay" box are only added to that message. We use it to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Event date alerts. If you ask to be told when an event's next dates are out, we store your e-mail address and the event, and only after you confirm by e-mail (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)). Every alert has an unsubscribe link.
- Bookings. Bookings and payments are made in the Holidu booking module, which is run by Holidu Hosts GmbH. Holidu receives the details you enter there and processes them under its own privacy policy (holidu.com/privacy). We then receive your booking details from Holidu to prepare your stay (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Site statistics. We count page views and clicks (for example, which contact button was used) with PostHog, set up without cookies or device storage, and with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which also uses no cookies. Your IP address is removed before the data reaches PostHog. When you use a contact button, our server also records the apartment, the button, your country and your IP address. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used and preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Security and errors. Cloudflare protects the site from attacks, and some forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Sentry receives error reports when something breaks in your browser, without your IP address being stored with them. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Who receives your data
We do not sell your data. We use these service providers, each only for the purpose above:
- OVH (France): hosts the website and our server.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: delivers the site, protects it and runs Turnstile and Web Analytics.
- PostHog (EU cloud, Germany): site statistics.
- Sentry (EU data region, Germany): error reports.
- Holidu Hosts GmbH (Germany): the booking module and bookings made in it.
- Google: Google Maps is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies. A map loads as you scroll to it, or when you click "Load map".
- Our e-mail provider: delivers contact requests and event alerts.
Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare and Sentry are US companies. Where data reaches the United States, it is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Contact requests and contact-button records: as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of our conversations. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Event date alerts: an unconfirmed sign-up is deleted after 7 days. A confirmed one is deleted when the alert is sent, when you unsubscribe, after 3 failed deliveries, or 2 years after the event's last edition.
- Booking data: as long as the law requires us to keep guest and invoicing records.
- Error reports and statistics: kept by Sentry and PostHog for their standard retention periods, at most 90 days for errors.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what was done before. Write to info@feelathomehouse.com.
You can also complain to the Portuguese data-protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.
