Where to Stay for O Amor É Assim

O Amor É Assim is the Portuguese adaptation of Run for Your Wife, Ray Cooney's farce and one of the most successful comedies in theatre history, with a celebrated nine-year run in London's West End before reaching Broadway and stages around the world. It is staged at the Grande Auditório of Forum Braga in Braga, in the Minho region of northern Portugal. The plot follows Joaquim Baião, an organised and methodical man who manages to keep two homes, two routines and two wives running in parallel without anyone suspecting — until one small mishap brings the whole arrangement crashing down into a dizzying succession of lies, unexpected phone calls, nosy neighbours and persistent police. It is led by João Baião, alongside Cristina Oliveira, Mané Ribeiro, Luís Garcia, João Frizza, João Lopes and Susana Cacela, with direction by João Baião and Fernando Gomes.
