Where to Stay for Parque Aquático de Amarante

Parque Aquático de Amarante is the only water park in northern Portugal, located on the outskirts of the charming medieval town of Amarante. The park features a range of water slides for all ages, wave pools, lazy rivers, and dedicated areas for young children — all set amid beautiful Minho countryside. Amarantais a delightful day-trip destination in its own right: the town is famous for its Romanesque bridge over the Tâmega river, the São Gonçalo monastery, and its pastelaria tradition (phallic-shaped sweets!). Combine a morning at the water park with an afternoon exploring the historic centre.
